Loose in the Feywild

The party found themselves spread out amongst three Huge Crocodiles, each ridden by a Hag.  The encounter was on as the Crocs grabbed Pretis and the Hags attempted to claw at the party from high on the back of the Crocs.  Gofin and Demin found themselves flanking a Croc but Demin attacked and moved away leaving Gofin to battle the giant on her own.  Lythandar summoned the Hellhound (DM Note: A good move considering the Crocodiles had regenerate 5 except when they took fire damage.)  Melisana pushed the second Croc/Hag pair away form her and then cast Written in Fire causing more fire damage to the creatures..  Pretis escaped the grab and she and Mara did heavy damage to the first Croc/Hag pair  Alhellara used a Divine Glow blast to further harm two of the Crocs while granting Pretis an attack bonus.  Gofin used Shadow Jack to join the third hag riding the Croc.


Suddenly the third Croc moved forward toward Demin and the Hag hit him with both claws doing a terrible amount of damage, leaving Demin clinging to life.  Alhellara moved up to cast Healing Word on him and Melisana moved around and threw Angelic Harrier at one of the Hags.  Soon the first Croc/Hag pair went down together.  

Another Croc grabbed Pretis again but before it could swallow her, she once again escaped.  Demin, seeking revenge eliminated the Hag that hit him and the Hellhound moved up to the second Crocodile inflicting more fire damage.  After some other intense battle sequences the third Hag fell followed by the second Crocodile. The third Crocodile stayed upright longer as it had not taken much fire damage but eventually the party took the upper hand and eliminated it.

Searching the area the party did not find any items of interest, no magical items, no money, no gems.  After a short rest the followed the Crocodiles prints to the north and after a couple of leagues travel made camp for the night.  An uninterrupted rest was had by all and the party resumed its march to the north, looking for the high ridge containing the Garden of Graves.

By midmorning the party glimpsed a ridge through a break in the trees.  They also heard rushing water off to the east through heavy foliage.  As the moved on they came to a more open area and saw the ridge close up.  The pathway led to a opening in the ridge wall, possibly a cave.  Unfortunately the area in front of the cave mouth was filled by several Cyclops.

Scorecard:  The party earned 643 XP for the battle with the Crocodiles and Hags.  They now have 19362 XP and need1138 to reach 10th level.
